Techibond™ Clear Activator is an isocyanate based cross-linking agent and adhesion promoter for a variety of solvent based adhesives.
It is used as a cross-linking component for adhesives based on urethane, natural rubber or synthetic rubber especially for bonding rubber materials.
Clear Activator raises the resistance of the bonds to heat, grease, oils, plasticisers and numerous organic solvents.
Application
Clear Activator is used in additions at 3-6 % by volume to natural rubber
and polyurethane adhesives and 5-10 % by volume in neoprene adhesives.
After Clear Activator has been added, the solution is mixed thoroughly.
The ready-for-use mixed two-part adhesive has a limited pot-life and must therefore be used before it expires. The pot-life generally ranges from several hours to one working day.
